In this role, the nature of the work is dynamic and requires a collaborative attitude. This role will be set to standard business hours on Pacific time.
We are seeking well-rounded candidates who can triage and research the data center fleet sustaining incoming ticket requests for testing hardware replacement parts and firmware upgrades for Microsoft's test server systems. Testing will target all aspects of the Microsoft SKU and server environments (Rack Manager, BIOS, BMC, Power, Memory, Storage, FPGA, Network, Performance, Stress, etc.) across multiple operating systems.
· Receive incoming data center fleet sustaining requests to understand the hardware or firmware change being requested and specify what SKU servers need tested
· Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to gather information, need to have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as be a good listener
· Query and analyze data along with related processes, as well as interpret information from internal customers, vendors, and key stakeholders
· Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
· Knowledge of all aspects of data center SKU testing environment
· Knowledge of server environments (Rack Manager, BIOS, BMC, Power, Memory, Storage, FPGA, Network, Performance, Stress, etc.)
· Have experience in business process designs, technical operations (i.e., Cloud data centers, Hardware servers, memory & storage devices, or Software), and quality assurance testing
· Must think creatively to solve problems, need to have strong troubleshooting skills to find new ways to help the team achieve their goals, and be a continuous learner with a high-quality focus
· Self-motivated and a self-starter, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
· Experience Azure DevOps for work tracking
· Proficient in using analytical programs (i.e., PowerBI, Tableau, MS Access, Azure Kusto), as well as spreadsheet software (i.e., Excel) and flow-charting tools (i.e., Visio)
· Have excellent technical writing skills (i.e., MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) to produce presentations and reports
